# OSRS Account Progression — Guthixian Guidance

## What should I do next in OSRS?

The useful answer depends on account state and purpose. Guthixian Guidance first resolves what the account has already completed, protects any permanent restrictions, asks what direction the player wants, and then ranks compatible progression paths.

A strong next step usually has one or more of these properties:

- it is reachable from the account's current state;
- it advances the player's chosen objective;
- it unlocks future quests, travel, equipment, activities or money-making options;
- it improves later grinds through a useful diary reward or infrastructure unlock;
- it avoids irreversible combat XP or other changes that would damage a restricted account.

This is why the engine treats quests, Achievement Diaries, equipment, money making and account-bound unlocks as connected systems rather than separate guide pages.
